The Deadline Is Approaching.

To qualify for the 2026 North Carolina ballot, We The People NC must submit approximately 15,000 valid signatures from registered voters across the state.

The Single Most Important Thing You Can Do Right Now Is Print and Sign the Petition.

Important facts to know:

GENERAL PURPOSE AND INTENT OF THIS PETITION

Pursuant to N.C.G.S. § 163-96(b), petition circulators are required to inform signers of the general purpose and intent of the new political party.

The general purpose and intent of this petition are to qualify We The People NC as an officially recognized political party in North Carolina so that it may nominate candidates and have those candidates appear on the ballot in future elections.

Signing this petition does not change your voter registration, does not change your political party affiliation, and does not obligate you to support the party or any candidate. It simply allows the party to seek official recognition and ballot access.

How to Sign

Under North Carolina law (G.S. 163-96), petitions must include the signer’s original handwritten signature to be considered valid.

The most effective way to help right now is to download, print, sign, and mail the petition yourself. If you have access to a printer, follow the instructions below and mail it in as soon as possible.

If you cannot print, join our email and text list to receive updates about signing events near you.

  • Signing the petition does NOT:

    • Change your voter registration

    • Change your party affiliation

    • Commit you to any future involvement

    It simply allows voters to have another option in North Carolina.

    All completed petitions should be mailed to We The People NC at the address listed below. The party will submit the petitions to the appropriate county board of elections for verification and counting.

First:

Second:

Before collecting any signatures, write the county at the top of the form. This must be the county where all signers on that page are registered to vote.

Then complete one line of the form with your information:

• Print your name clearly (must be legible)
• Enter your residential street address (street address only — do not need to include city or state)
• Enter your ZIP code
• Enter your birth date (MM/DD/YYYY)
• Sign your name with your original handwritten signature
• Enter today’s date

If you ask family members or friends to sign, you must first inform them that the purpose and intent of this petition is to qualify We The People NC as an officially recognized political party in North Carolina so it may nominate candidates and appear on the ballot.

Important:
• All signers on the same petition sheet must be registered voters in the same county written at the top of the form
• If someone is registered in a different county, they must print and complete a separate petition form for their county
