The Deadline Is Approaching.

To qualify for the 2026 North Carolina ballot, We The People NC must submit approximately 15,000 valid signatures from registered voters across the state.

The Single Most Important Thing You Can Do Right Now Is Print and Sign the Petition.

GENERAL PURPOSE AND INTENT OF THIS PETITION

Pursuant to N.C.G.S. § 163-96(b), petition circulators are required to inform signers of the general purpose and intent of the new political party.

The general purpose and intent of this petition are to qualify We The People NC as an officially recognized political party in North Carolina so that it may nominate candidates and have those candidates appear on the ballot in future elections.

Signing this petition does not change your voter registration, does not change your political party affiliation, and does not obligate you to support the party or any candidate. It simply allows the party to seek official recognition and ballot access.

How to Sign

Under North Carolina law (G.S. 163-96), petitions must include the signer’s original handwritten signature to be considered valid.

The most effective way to help right now is to download, print, sign, and mail the petition yourself. If you have access to a printer, follow the instructions below and mail it in as soon as possible.

If you cannot print, join our email and text list to receive updates about signing events near you.

  • Signing the petition does NOT:

    • Change your voter registration

    • Change your party affiliation

    • Commit you to any future involvement

    It simply allows voters to have another option in North Carolina.

    All completed petitions should be mailed to We The People NC at the address listed below. The party will submit the petitions to the appropriate county board of elections for verification and counting.

Complete the form with your information and provide your original handwritten signature. You may ask family members and friends to sign as well. Before anyone signs, you must inform them that the general purpose and intent of this petition are to qualify We The People NC as an officially recognized political party in North Carolina so that it may nominate candidates and have those candidates appear on the ballot in future elections. Anyone signing the same petition sheet must be a registered voter in the same county. If someone lives in a different county, they should download and complete their own copy of the petition separately.
